dharti abhi bhi ghoom rahi hai…
shayad uss din mai ro na paata
apni dil ki iss kamzori ko samajh na paata
woh saare pal yaad na kar paata
agar tum milne aa jaati..
shayad shaam dhal na paati
sard hawaain tham si jaati
suraj shayad bujh na jaata
chaand falak mein kho na pata
narm ghaas par lete lete
shayad uss din mai ro na paata
dard nazar se bayaan na hota
gamon ka baadal phoot na paata
agar tum milne aa jaati
magar tum nahi aayi
aur suraj doob gaya
chaand bhi nahi aaya
sard hawayein tez ho gayi
waqt na jaane kitna beeta
kushk zamana kibz mei jeeta
duniya beshak tham gayi thi

Why do people have to lose things to find out what they really mean?Its very difficult to understand the feelings behind this poem unless you had been into that situation before.While a lot has been written about the jubilation of falling in love, much less has been written about the downside of love — heartbreak.
As far as mine is concerned i can only say “The tears I wish to wipe away, will run unchecked for another day. Alas, that is the price I pay”
I really like this poem, very real and innocent. I personally feel that the first half of the poem has a better flow than the second half, if a word more can be added in each line in the second half then probably a consistent flow might be achieved
